David Simonetti, Executive Director
A life-long jazz fanatic and musician, David helped to found Jazz Futures to bring jazz music and education to underserved markets. He is currently the managing producer of Verve Groove, LLC providing marketing and production services for live music performances. Prior to his career in the music business, David spent 20 years in state and local government and education, with the last 8 in executive roles. Prior to this, he was the CEO of private equity firm, Groupnow, Inc.
David brings over 30 years of experience in financial management and a wealth of background in a variety of industries.
Christina Goldschmidt, Director
Christina Goldschmidt is an award-winning design leader who is known for transforming product design teams to work at enterprise scale. She has a proven track record of fostering cultures that drive both business and social impact by unlocking the power of data. Before joining Warner Music Group as their VP of Product Design, Christina spent 25 years gaining cross-functional experience driving digital innovation including at Fortune 500 companies like Etsy, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, American Express, Omnicom Media Group, The Discovery Channel and others. She is an advocate for mental health and works to help managers lead from a place of authenticity. Christina is a board advisor and founding member of the Design Executive Council. Christina received her MBA from NYU Stern, where she is also an Adjunct Professor, and holds a B.S. in design from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Jeannette C. Piña, Director
A veritable institution in the South Florida jazz scene, Jeannette brings 10 years of jazz marketing and promotion to our counsel. After a 26-year-long career as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. State Department, Jeanette leveraged her extensive international experience to develop jazz projects and performances. She is well known for her years volunteering at jazz radio station WDNA and for the South Florida Jazz Calendar which is the primary chronicle of jazz events in this market.
