Jazz Futures - Our Mission
What We Do
Jazz Futures, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which was founded to provide opportunities for both emerging and established jazz artists to perform in developing markets for the genre, and to develop educational programs aimed at continuing and instilling appreciation for music in the jazz genre in future generations.
Production & Events
While Jazz is growing in popularity with younger generations, there are particular markets where appreciation for traditional (often called "straight-ahead" jazz) and Latin jazz is underdeveloped.
Addressing this issue requires that we work to educate the audiences in these markets. We accomplish this by presenting internationally renowned artists and subsidizing production costs where ticket sales fail to support them.
Education
We develop and support projects focused on providing jazz education to today's youth nationwide and internationally. Our focus here is to provide a foundation for the next generation of jazz artists and afficionados.
